The 2nd hole is the most difficult of the course, a 418 yard downhill dog-leg right par 4 with an elevated green. On the tee a player must decide whether to try and carry a creek about 250 yards away and be left with a short iron in, or play a conservative lay up shot and be left with a long iron or fairway wood to the elevated green. Either way, the player is forced to play at least one tremendous shot.
