Practice Facilities

 

Duncan Meadows features well-maintained practice areas suitable for golfers of all skill levels.  The specialized practice facilities provide opportunities for members and guest to realize the full potential of their games.

 

 

Range

 

The Duncan Meadows range is a fully netted, 4 acre grassy area, with a slightly up-hill 250 yard landing zone and targets every 50 yards.  The all weather main deck offers 10 covered stalls (plus an enclosed teaching booth), quality mats and ample benches.  For players that prefer to hit off of a natural surface the adjoining elevated grass tee deck can accommodate an additional 8 golfers. 

 

-Irons only on Grass Tees.

-Balls are available at the range:  Warm-up bucket is $2 and the Large basket is $6.

Chipping Area

Adjacent to the range Duncan Meadows provides a 9000 square foot four hole chipping green.  Surrounded by both level and mounded areas, this large green provides a wide variety of chipping challenges.  This quiet area is a favourite of many members.

 

 

 

Practice Bunker

Along side the chipping green is a large practice bunker filled with the same white Navajo silica sand used on the golf course.

 

 

 

Putting Green

 

Duncan Meadows 12000 square foot, 6 hole putting green is strategically located in front of the club house, between the 9th and 18th greens.  This large putting surface sits on a slight slope, features several subtle breaks, and is maintained to the same standard as the on-course greens. Holes are cut to allow golfers to practice uphill, downhill and sidehill putts, as well as lengthy lags. A great final prep before heading of to the first tee.
